Brela itself does not operate a public ferry terminal for island connections. Your island journeys will invariably begin with a short drive, bus ride, or transfer from Brela to a major port. Efficiency is key here.

- Located 15 km south. This is your closest car ferry option, exclusively connecting to Sumartin on Brač island. For vehicles heading to Brač, skip Split for car ferries if Brač is your only island goal. It's a longer, more circuitous route.
- Split Port
- Approximately 50 km north. Split is the primary hub for all major island connections: Brač (Supetar), Hvar, Vis, Korčula, and more. This is where catamarans and larger car ferries depart frequently.
- Ground Transport to Ports
- To reach Makarska or Split ports from Brela, use a rental car, local bus service, or private transfer.
- Private Boat Tours
- Several local operators offer direct, private boat excursions from Brela's main harbor to nearby islands like Brač or Hvar. This is a convenient, but significantly more expensive, alternative to public ferries.
