- Regular passenger boat services run directly to Dubrovnik Old Town (Port Gruž or city harbor). Essential for quick city access.
- Seasonal Operation
- Services are strictly seasonal, typically May through October. Weather dictates departures; expect cancellations.
- No Car Ferries
- Cavtat does not have a car ferry terminal. Forget taking your car directly from here to any island.
- Lokrum Access
- Access Lokrum Island primarily via Dubrovnik. Cavtat boats drop you near the Lokrum ferry departure point.
- True Island Hopping
- For serious island exploration (Elafiti, Korčula, Mljet), Dubrovnik's main ferry port (Gruž) is your departure point. This is the only sensible option.
