01How Much Does Krka National Park Cost?
The entrance fee is the main expense and depends entirely on the month. Prices below follow the official 2026 price list. Krka usually revises its tariff each year, so confirm the 2027 figures on the park's website before booking.
Adult Entrance Fees by Season
- June to September
- €40. After 15:00 the ticket drops to €30.
- April, May and October
- €20.
- November to March
- €7.
Children under 7 enter free. Youth aged 7–18 and students with valid ID pay €4 in winter, €12 in April, May and October, and €15 from June to September. After 15:00 in peak months the youth and student price falls to €11.25.
What the Ticket Includes
The standard ticket covers all accessible land sites in the 109 km² park. From 1 April to 31 October it also includes the boat from Skradin to Skradinski buk and the bus from Lozovac to Skradinski buk. From June to September a bus from Laškovica to Roški slap is also included.
From November to March the boats and shuttles do not run. The ticket is cheap, but access is limited to walking routes.
02Extra Costs Inside the Park
Boat excursions are paid on top of entry. Adult prices for 2026:
- Skradinski buk to Visovac (2 h, 30 min on the island): €15, children 4–18 €10.
- Skradinski buk to Visovac and Roški slap (4 h): €20, children €15.
- Skradinski buk to the Čikola canyon (45 min, no stops): €10, children €7.
- Roški slap to the Trošenj and Nečven fortresses (2 h, views from the boat): €15, children €10.
- Return boat from Stinice or Remetić to Visovac: €10.
Group rates are lower. Adult groups pay €12 for the Visovac trip and €18 for the four-hour combination.
The four-hour Visovac and Roški slap trip is the best value of the options. It covers the most scenery for €5 more than the standard Visovac trip. The Čikola cruise has no stops and is the weakest option, so skip it unless the boat ride itself is the goal.
Cheaper Option: Roški Slap Sector Only
A separate ticket covers only the upstream sites: Roški slap, the Roman military camp at Burnum and nearby areas. Adult prices are €7 in winter, €12 in April, May and October, and €20 from June to September. Skradinski buk, with its 17 travertine cascades up to 46 m high, is not included. Most first-time visitors will want the full ticket.
03Getting There: Transport Costs
Self-Drive
Krka lies about 85 km from Split, roughly one hour by road, and Šibenik is a short drive away. Fuel and tolls on the Split route are modest. The Lozovac entrance has a large car park, and the shuttle bus to the falls is included in the ticket. Check current parking charges at the entrance, as these are set separately from the park ticket.
Public Bus
Regular buses run from Split, Zadar and Šibenik to Skradin. Typical one-way fares are about €3–€5 from Šibenik, €8–€12 from Zadar (around 1 h 20 min) and €10–€15 from Split. Fares and timetables change by season, so check them before travelling. The bus drops passengers in Skradin, where the included boat or a walk along the river reaches the falls.
Organised Tours
Tours from Split, Trogir or Zadar generally cost €45–€60 per person. Many include a boat ride, and some include the entrance ticket. Check this carefully, because an inexpensive tour that excludes entry can cost more than a bundled one once the €40 summer ticket is added. Private tours are far higher: roughly €190–€400 per group depending on length and pickup.
04Food, Drinks and Extras
Food inside the park is limited to snack bars and a restaurant near Skradinski buk. Prices there are higher than in town. Expect €8–€15 for a sandwich or light meal and €3–€5 for drinks.
Skradin has more choice. A sit-down lunch with fish or grilled meat usually costs €15–€25 per person. Bringing water, fruit and sandwiches from a supermarket in Šibenik or Skradin cuts the food bill to under €10. Picnicking is allowed only in designated areas.
05Sample Daily Budgets (Per Adult)
| Style | Summer (Jun–Sep) | Shoulder (Apr–May, Oct) |
|---|---|---|
| Budget (bus from Šibenik, packed lunch, after 15:00 ticket) | €40–€45 | €30–€35 |
| Mid-range (drive, full ticket, Visovac boat, lunch) | €70–€85 | €50–€60 |
| Full day (4 h boat trip, lunch in Skradin, parking) | €80–€95 | €60–€70 |
These are estimates built from the official ticket and boat prices plus typical food and transport costs.
06How to Save Money at Krka
- Visit in April, May or October. The €20 ticket is half the summer price. Water flow is strong in spring and crowds are smaller.
- Arrive after 15:00 in summer. The €30 ticket saves €10 and avoids midday heat. The park stays open until about 19:30 from May to August and until 18:30 in September. Check that this leaves enough time, because a full loop at Skradinski buk takes about 1.5–2 hours.
- Buy online. Online purchase avoids ticket-office queues at Lozovac in July and August.
- Walk from Skradin if the boat queue is long. The boat is included in the ticket, but the walk along the river to the falls is free and avoids waiting at peak times.
- Choose the Roški slap ticket for a second visit. It costs €20 in summer instead of €40.
- Bring your own water. Snack-bar prices inside the park are higher than in Skradin.
Insider Tip: Swimming and Dress
Swimming at Skradinski buk has been banned since 2021. Swimming is allowed only in marked areas elsewhere in the park, such as near Roški slap, so check current swimming rules at the entrance before packing swimwear. Walking on the wooden boardwalks needs only comfortable shoes.
07Is Krka Worth the Price?
At €40 in July and August, the ticket is steep, particularly compared with the €7 winter fee. Summer midday visits mean crowded boardwalks. The after-15:00 ticket is a better deal for most visitors. The shoulder months give the best balance of price, flow and crowd levels, and for a value-focused trip April or October is the clear pick.
08Where to Stay Near Krka
Skradin and Šibenik are the usual bases. Skradin is closer to the park, with boat access, and has a few small guesthouses and apartments. Šibenik offers more variety and cheaper bus links. Accommodation prices rise sharply in July and August, so booking early matters. Staying overnight in Skradin makes an 08:00 start easy, which is the best way to see the falls before tour buses arrive.
