Fažana is a coastal town on the southwestern coast of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia, known primarily as the departure point for Brijuni National Park. It attracts families and older couples looking for a relaxed atmosphere, accessible pebble beaches, and flat walking paths. The town maintains a working fishing harbor surrounded by low-rise historic buildings and a wide, paved promenade.
Most visitors arrive by car from Central Europe, taking advantage of the numerous apartment rentals and large campsites located just north and south of the center. The main tourist season runs from June to September, with July and August bringing the highest temperatures and largest crowds. May and October offer cooler weather suitable for cycling and hiking, though many seasonal businesses close for the winter.
